Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
All of our sessions are held virtually via a secure video platform. This makes therapy accessible, flexible, and easy to attend from the comfort of your own space—anywhere in Florida.
-
Do you take insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider and can offer superbills for reimbursement, depending on your insurance plan.
-
I don’t have a diagnosed eating disorder. Can I still come to therapy?
Yes. You don’t need a diagnosis to deserve support. Many of our clients struggle with disordered eating, chronic dieting, or feeling out of control around food, even if they’ve never been formally diagnosed. If food and body thoughts are taking up too much of your energy, therapy can help.
-
What is intuitive eating?
Intuitive eating is an approach to food that allows you to reconnect with your body’s natural cues, release guilt around food, and break free from dieting cycles. We use this framework to guide conversations around hunger, fullness, emotional eating, and body image in a compassionate, client-centered way.
-
Will you help me lose weight?
I imagine you’re here because you’ve had that goal for a while and it hasn’t worked. Let’s try something new! Our work is rooted in the belief that your worth is not defined by your weight. We won’t focus on weight loss or reinforce restrictive behaviors. Instead, we’ll explore your relationship with food, body image, and self-care from a place of curiosity and compassion—not control.
-
What is diet culture, and how does it show up in therapy?
Diet culture is the system of beliefs that equates thinness with health, worth, and moral value. In therapy, we gently unpack how diet culture has shaped your beliefs, behaviors, and self-image, and how you can begin to unlearn those patterns to reclaim peace and autonomy around food.
