Feel Your Fullness

Fullness is tough when you’re trying to break the dieting cycle. You might have spent years faking fullness, pretending you were stuffed after eating a lean cuisine. We need to start asking our bodies if we are full rather than convincing our minds that we “should" be full. Fullness doesn’t have to be associated with feelings of guilt, discomfort, and regret. Sometimes we will feel overly full - but no need to worry! Our bodies are efficient in that they will use the fuel that we give it. There are some things that we can do to become more aware of fullness signals. Try to identify your initial hunger level, eat without distraction, and as always, allow yourself permission to ask your body where it is in terms of fullness.
